ed breckenridge has been guest photoblogging (...if that's the word for it?) for our local paper's music blog. he's sent in several private photos from his iphone that are pretty fun and offer a good look behind the scenes of thrice tour life.

there are some fun photos (including one of a tiger???) and this one is of a nerf gun the guys apparently have modified since they were so bored.... caption: "downtime on the road gets absurd sometimes and you begin to do things like modifying nerf guns to pass the time."

check out all the blogs here.

That's a link to a 1.55mb .mp3 of Thrice covering "The Quiet Things..." - the bit rate is 56kbps... it's less music and more evidence that the cover actually occurred. If you turn down your EQ settings to about 10% it's a bit more manageable. I ran it through Audacity to remove that necessity. Here's that file (it's a 3.42mb .mp3 at 128kbps).

The source of this recording is this torrent. The ID3 tag says the track is from the Skate and Surf Fest 2003. And that's pretty much all I know.

Hey everyone, I come with a request.

I was just wondering if anyone had a good quality recording of Thrice covering brandnew's "The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows"? I think it's from the Bamboozle show a few years ago. I had it downloaded once, and after a lovely harddrive crash I can't find it anymore.

If anyone has it, I will be most appreciative! Thanks in advance.

(If this sort of thing isn't cool, feel free to delete.)

From what I hear, Brand New + Thrice = one phenomenal show....so if it's near you, you should certainly somehow acquire tickets for yourself.

Thrice's new album, BEGGARS will be released on AUGUST 11th! (Previously supposed to be released in October, but it leaked extremely early, so they decided to just formally release it a few months early) SO be sure to take a listen....

The ENTIRE album is now streaming on their official myspace page.  >>> www.myspace.com/thrice

Take a listen, post your thoughts. by the way, a great music source ....many great reviews on the new album... www.sputnikmusic.com

I just found this community while searching for an active Thrice one, and saw the intros post. I'm guessing I put this is a new post, but if not, just let me know! =]

Name:  Rachna

Location:   San Diego, CA
Hobbies:   Music, reading, volunteering, travelling, etc.
Favorite Venue:   I don't really have one since I haven't been to a show in over a year or so (I know, right). HOB is nice in general.
Favorite Bands: Besides Thrice, Coldplay, Silversun PIckups, Eisley, Augustana, The New Frontiers, The Perishers, Bollywood music,
What about Thrice did you fall in love with? Their diversity (ability to make different genres of music, as well as melding them together to make a variation)
Personal experience with Thrice? Saw half a set at the first Bamboozle Left, but haven't since =[ Hoping to see them on warped tour this year
Pictures? (of anything, yourself, shows, whatev) look at my Facebook!

Yesterday at Bamboozle Left, Thrice performed a new song. There's a bunch of videos on youtube, but I think this was the best sounding one.

*I tried embedding the video but it just came up wrong, so here's the link*

I loved this song within the first few seconds. I keep playing it on replay. Makes me very excited for their new stuff. What do you think?
